Young Sydney 3 piece RÜFÜS are making waves both locally and internationally with their electronic dance floor driven pop melodies. Since their inception in the hills of sunny Byron Bay mid 2010 the guys have been busy pumping out track after track- with remixes, plenty of originals and a few cheeky bootlegs.

The independent release of their EP saw an organic groundswell building amongst the blogosphere, with their tracks ’Paris Collides' & 'We Left' reaching No.8 & No.13 on the Hype Machine charts; while at home Paris Collides reached No.1 on the Triple J Uneartherd dance charts.

Locally their impressive aural live show has seen them gathering a cult following with crowds of up to 600 attending sold out shows in Sydney. The guys are part of a group of new school indie dance crossover acts that are as at home in a club as they are in an intimate live venue. It’s their cross over ability that has seen them appear alongside acts as diverse as; Infusion, New Navy, Strange Talk, Bon Chat Bon Rat and Mitzi.

RÜFÜS have immersed themselves in the DIY aesthetic that Australian electronic bands like The Midnight Juggernauts are famous for. Writing and recording their own EP; releasing it on their own label (www.monekeleon.com); PRing it themselves, booking their own shows (up until now), directing their own film clips and doing their own artwork where possible.

With the release of a remix EP on French Label ‘On The Fruit’ featuring remixes by Beaumont, Symbolone and Ride the Universe under their belt, the guys are heading out on an East Coast club tour to support the release.
